For charities, social enterprises and community organisations, making the right connections can open the door to new partnerships, shared resources, practical support and opportunities to increase the impact of the work you already do. This meeting was an opportunity to make those connections, exchange ideas and discover how working more closely with other organisations could benefit both your organisation and the wider community.

Amanda brought a particularly valuable perspective to that conversation. FCMS (originally Fylde Coast Medical Services) actively invests in local communities and works in partnership with charities and voluntary organisations, providing both financial and practical support. They are one of the largest, non-profit social enterprise healthcare providers in Blackpool. Their approach is built around listening to organisations working at grassroots level and supporting those best placed to create meaningful change.

Whether attendees were looking to develop new partnerships, raise the profile of your work, find new avenues of support or simply connect with others who share your commitment to the community, this meeting was well worth attending.

Amanda presented at the Fylde Coast Resilience meeting held on 23 September 2026.
